Children’s Ministry

 

Nursery Caregiver
Details of position: Our nursery caregivers are adults who love babies and toddlers. These volunteers must love children and must be able to calmly handle fussy and crying babies while putting parents at ease. These volunteers must also know basic childcare and have a strong understanding of our MACC Kids Safety and Security Policy.

Preschool Leaders & Assistants
Details of position: Our preschool leaders use MACC-supplied curriculum and materials to teach our 2, 3 and 4-year-olds. Our assistants are there to support the leader with class management and prep. Assistants must have a positive attitude and be willing to joyfully assist leaders with anything in the class. All preschool volunteers must have a strong understanding of our MACC Kids Safety and Security Policy. Trainings provided.

K-3rd Grade Small Group Leader
Details of position: Small group leaders are adults and high schoolers who love Jesus and love kids. Every Sunday morning they meet for 30 to 40 minutes, with their group of 6 to 8 kids, to focus on the week’s Bible lesson, bottom line, and basic truth.
Frequency of Serving: Small group leaders serve a minimum of 4 months at a time – September to December, January to April, or May to August – during one service hour. Year-round commitment is encouraged. Subs are also needed on a week-to-week basis.

4th & 5th Grade Small Group Leader

Buddies
Details of position: Teens and adults who have a heart for children who may need some extra attention and care. The need could be for a variety of reasons, for kids from 2 years old through 5th grade. A buddy serves consistently on Sunday mornings with the same child to guarantee that he or she is having the best experience possible while at MACC Kids!
Frequency of Serving: Case by case.

Club Worship Host: Kids (K-3rd Grade) OR Pre-Teen (4th & 5th Grade)
Details of position: Club Worship Hosts introduce the weekly Bible Story video during Club Worship Kids & Club Worship Pre-Teen. A short script is provided. These volunteers must be comfortable in front of large groups of elementary age kids, energetic, and animated. No experience is required and coaching is available.
Frequency of Serving: Hosts serve for one month at a time during one service.

Club Worship Lead: Pre-Teen (4th & 5th Grade)
Details of position: Club Worship Leads present the Sunday morning talk for 4th & 5th graders. These volunteers must be confident in front of a large group of kids & able to follow a script/outline to present the weekly Bible story and Key Question.
Frequency of Serving: Leads serve one month at a time during one service.

Club Worship – Worship Team (K-3rd OR 4th & 5th)
Details of position: These teams are made up of teens and adults who lead worship during Club Worship (K-3rd grade / 4th-5th grade) and Club Worship Jr (pre-k) through music, singing, and motions! Volunteers have rehearsals throughout the year to prepare for Sunday mornings. The worship team is made up of 4th graders through adults & requires a twice a month weekday/night rehearsal.
Frequency of Serving: Minimum of once a month during one service hour.

Club Worship Tech Team
Details of position: Trained teens and adults who run visuals and sound during the MACC Kids worship and large group Bible lesson. Basic computer, audio visual, and sound knowledge is a plus! Training is provided.
Frequency of Serving: The tech team serves for a month at a time during once service.

Check-in Team
Details of position: These are the friendly faces that greet visiting families, at MACC Kids, on Sunday mornings. This team greets families and helps them through the check-in process. The goal of this team is to make parents and kids feel welcome and comfortable when visiting for the first time. A basic knowledge of what happens at MACC Kids is also needed, and a quick training is required.
Frequency of Serving: A minimum of once a month during one service hour.

Security Team
Details of position: The purpose of this team is to keep our MACC Kids area safe and secure. Team members are stationed at each of the 2 main entrances and exits during each service hour, and are responsible for allowing volunteers and families to enter and exit the MACC Kids wing. Training is required.
Frequency of Serving: Minimum of once a month during one service hour.

Computer Check-in: Tech Team
Details of position: To take care of all things technical for the MACC Kids check-in process. This team of volunteers sets up and takes down all of our check-in stations, and is ready to make the check-in process as easy and smooth for families as possible. If a computer glitch occurs during the morning, this team is ready to fix it with a smile. Members of this team should have a strong knowledge of computers and the systems used by MACC Kids. Training of our system is available.

Requirements: Be a part of the core team who visions, plans and serves to help the men in our church and community grow in their relationship with Jesus and with other men.

Requirements: Join us Wednesday nights for a church-wide men’s bible study.  Lead a breakout group each week, guiding and encouraging men to study and share what they are learning from the Word.

Description: Set up / take down of equipment related to sound, video and lighting.  Running of mac laptop (Pro Presenter) – This position sets up and runs the slides for the scripture, Sermon notes and lyrics during worship.

Camera Tech
Description: Set up and take down camera equipment. Operate camera or video mixer during serves or other live events. Perform trouble shooting with camera equipment.
Requirement: An interest in video and film.  A passion for communicating visually and serving creatively. Knowledge of operating a camera is a plus but not required.
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours on Sundays or day of event.

Evangelism & Mission

 

Missions Team Coordinator
Description: Coordinate training and leadership of future leaders of the church in mission trip opportunities, provide training and teach mission class to prepare church core and committed to serve, lead and/or oversee a specific mission trip and equip the mission team to be ready for the specific trip. Continue to lead the team on location of the mission trip.
Requirement: Membership, leadership classes, committed to personal growth in Christ.
Time Commitment: Six (6) hours weekly-Sunday, some Saturday or Wednesday.

Requirements: Leader training, a weekend in the spring, Launch meeting immediately prior to the trip

Servant Evangelism Coordinator
Description:  Oversee and direct various MACC’s of Kindness and “Servant E”, oversee and direct benevolence needs in and outside the church.
Requirement:  Love people, friendly, willing to speak for the voiceless, willing to hear the cries of the hurting and broken.
“Time Commitment:  As scheduled, minimum three yours a week.

Garden Ministry

Garden Volunteer

Join us in the garden every Sunday, after either church service, and participate in gardening activities. Someone from our team is usually there from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Stay for as long as you would like.

Discipleship

NEXT Class Volunteers
Description: Assist in the setup and coordination of our NEXT classes.  These classes meet 6-8 times throughout the year.
Requirements: Provide assistance before each class to compile the materials: handouts, booklets, pens and name tags.  Assist in calling those who have been recent regular attenders to invite them to the class. Work with those in the church who provide child-care and arrange for their service on the day of the class.  Work with either volunteers in the church or local caterer (pizza) for providing lunch or dinner for the class.  After each class, compile the information forms, discipleship forms and covenants from the participants and track any missing information. Contact all new members to schedule which service they’ll attend on Sunday to be announced.
