Join the Garden Ministry!

The goal of the Garden Ministry is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy a healthy relationship with nature and grow in understanding of the Creator of all things. We can learn about the interrelationships that occur in the soil biology and the garden environment, how the soil life can provide nutrients for plants and, ultimately, plants provide food for all things on the earth. We hope to appreciate the intricacy, harmony and beauty in nature so that we can say that the earth is so fine tuned that there must be an intelligent, loving Creator.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Romans 1:20

Beyond serving in the garden, we hope to facilitate field trips to local natural parks and environmental areas. By becoming more aware of our natural environment and the mystery and spirit behind the creation, we can better find our place to be people who can love nature and give appreciation and gratitude back to God. Approximately 60% of what we grow is given to the Anne Arundel County food pantry. The other 40% goes to our ministry’s helpers.

Join us in the Garden!

Join us in the garden every Sunday, after either church service, and participate in gardening activities. Someone from our team is usually there from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Stay for as long as you would like.

Summer 2023

The Garden Ministry has donated 800 pounds of fresh produce to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank.

Our team is excited about the work we are doing, learning more each week about gardening and how to love and care for creation. It’s great to see new people coming to the garden, including families with children enjoying the flowers, butterflies, bees and vegetables. We are grateful to see our ministry team grow as well!
